LAS undergraduates’ advising home is based in the LAS Advising Center and extends through a network of College advisors specializing in academic programs (majors, curriculum, minors), pre-health, pre-law, and career development. As a primary source of college information, academic advisors of LAS Student Academic Affairs assist students as they pursue their academic and professional goals, while also addressing the students’ emotional, cultural, and developmental needs.

First-At-LAS Heading link
Are you one of the first in your family to attend a 4-year college? If so, you are not alone! In the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS), thousands of students are first-generation college students. Many of our faculty and staff are also first-gen. First-at-LAS offers programs designed with first-generation college students in mind. Students will have opportunities to connect with faculty and staff who proudly identify as former first-generation college students, participate in mentoring programs that support the college journey, and engage in meaningful conversations around the first-generation college student experience.
